Africa’s progress depends on science. But the North of the world attracts many of the best talents of the continent. In this journalism project, we tell the stories of five African women scientists who have done research outside of Africa and returned home with the goal of contributing to its development. We focus on women because they represent the greatest pool of untapped talent, and because of the special challenges they face when they try to move and apply their knowledge.
